Material Usage: At just half the weight of a traditional Halifax roadstud, the Eurimex LLHD contains half the iron without compromising performance. Additionally, the fine milled profile of the cut requires half the amount of stud grout. So, for 1000 studs the Eurimex will use half a tonne less iron and half a tonne less bituminous stud grout.
Noise: Anecdotal evidence suggests that the Eurimex stud, with its low profile, produces considerably less external noise when trafficked than a Halifax road stud. Tests are being carried out to establish the exact impact in decibel reduction.
Recycling: Metal castings manufactured from 100% recycled materials.
Energy / Fuel: The energy requirements to heat stud grout are halved as half as much stud grout is required per installation.
Hazardous Materials: All materials are compliant with REACH regulations.
Longevity: The Eurimex roadtsud is expected to last at least 5 years. This is longer than a Halifax could be expected to retain its depressible insert.
When a reflector does need replacing, there is no need to replace the whole stud unit. Using a simple leverage tool, the existing reflector can be removed in-situ and replaced with a new one, thereby reducing the environmental impact of keeping reflectivity levels high.
Disruption: With outputs of up to 100 studs in an hour, a site can be treated more quickly with Eurimex studs than with Halifax ones, thereby requiring less traffic management configurations and minimising disruption.
